of Courage
To
commemorate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, AID Africa, The
Educational Economic Development & Training Program, Inc.,
along
with community organizations and businesses will host a
Brunch
"Stories of Courage" a gathering of Survivors, their families, and the
healers committed to serving women with cancer.
The purpose of this Brunch is two-fold:
- Celebrate
the courage of women and
families dealing with cancer, and
- Share
information on resources
available for cancer prevention and treatment
Our goal is to Educate, Inform and Empower women of color in best
practices for preventing, detecting, and surviving breast and cervical
cancer.
The brunch includes a panel discussion where survivors, family care
givers and practitioners share stories of what has worked to make a
difference in their lives.
Our
brunch moderator is Ms. Twanda Black,
Public Affairs
Director for Kiss
104.1 FM.
Exhibitors
will be on hand to
provide
information on community resources available for cancer prevention,
detection and treatment.
