Stories of Courage

To commemorate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, AID Africa, The Educational Economic Development & Training Program, Inc., along with community organizations and businesses will host  a Brunch "Stories of Courage" a gathering of Survivors, their families, and the healers committed to serving women with cancer.

The purpose of this Brunch is two-fold:

  • Celebrate the courage of women and families dealing with cancer, and
  • Share information on resources available for cancer prevention and treatment

Our goal is to Educate, Inform and Empower women of color in best practices for preventing, detecting, and surviving breast and cervical cancer.

The brunch includes a panel discussion where survivors, family care givers and practitioners share stories of what has worked to make a difference in their lives.

Our brunch moderator is Ms. Twanda Black, Public Affairs Director for Kiss 104.1 FM

Exhibitors will be on hand to provide information on community resources available for cancer prevention, detection and treatment.
